October 2006

I had the incredible pleasure of being asked to be a part of the first annual Gospel Crusade Ladies’ Retreat – which was held in Picton, Ont during October 20th – 22nd.

It was a time of challenge, a time of spiritual stretching…

… And a time of making new and wonder- ful friends.  With me here is just one of whom I met: a dear lady by the name of Kelly Barber, who came up from New York, USA.  Blessings to all those who came to meet together – with God!

On the 25th, I found myself flying above the clouds, winging my way to Calgary, Alberta for the 28th Annual Gospel Music Association’s Covenant Awards.  (The “sun” in the picture is its reflection on Lk. Superior.  So, this is what God sees…!)

I had opportunity to be a part of a showcase on Oct. 26th (what a great way to spend my 33rd birthday!).

And, on Sunday, the 29th, I was invited by Peter Fleck, from the GMA, to be a special guest on his radio show, “Gospel Road.” It was such a pleasure to be there!

On September 12th, I had learned that my song, “First Christmas Day,” on the ReJoice! Album, was nominated for “Seasonal Song of the Year!”  (You can check out a clip of it here.)  I can’t begin to tell you how honoured I was!

The awards’ supper and ceremony was lovely and a lot of fun.

Although I didn’t win, it was still an honour to be nominated!  And, just to be a part of it all – to take the classes, meet other artists who love the Lord as much as I – was an experience of a lifetime.

I got to see another part of this amazing earth God created.

I got to worship my Saviour with others.

And, best of all:  I got to share it all with my wonderful family!
