music after God’s own heart
When folk meets soft rock, you
get a sound combination that is like no other.
An
inspiring experience has been born through the union of
Steve
Anderson and B. Shannon Ross.
Steve began singing at
the age of 7, as his mom played along on the piano. Steve discovered the guitar at age 12, which began a lifelong
passion with the instrument.
Steve’s dedication to his
art, and years of leading worship, has lent a note of expertise to his
music. While Steve’s lyrics are
deceptively simple, they are straight from the heart; and, the melodies he
creates with his acoustic guitar draw you into his very emotions.
Shannon’s own unique blend of music and personal testimony
touches hearts and lives with God’s message of hope and love. Every song that Shannon has written provides
a glimpse of her own personal life, and her heart’s desire is to minister in
word and music, sharing God’s truth with others.
December 2008 found them singing for the live-televised
North Bay Lion’s Christmas Telethon, which was broadcast Canada and United
States wide. Steve and Shannon make an
incredible musical combination, whether they are praising God in concert at a
coffee house, or leading Sunday morning congregational worship services.
For their wedding in August 2008, Steve and Shannon recorded
a mini-album of their own compositions.
Steve, himself, is working on his first solo album, with plans for a
release sometime later in 2009.
Every song that Steve and Shannon play together, every
harmonic note that they sing, is created solely to bring honour and glory to
the Lord, Jesus Christ. Their gift is
truly …
music after God’s own heart.
